Biography - Suzie Nichols
- Suzie worked as a primary school teacher in Hull for 12 years before moving on to
pursue her vocation as a garden designer.
- She studied at Bishop Burton College (2002-2004) to gain a HNC Horticulture
(Garden Design) with distinctions in all assignments.
- She also gained two City and Guilds Certificates whilst studying at Bishop Burton College;
- Practical Gardening (2003)
- Certificate In Gardening (2004)
- She won an RHS Silver Medal for her design "Essential Elements" in the RHS Hampton
Court Flower Show’s Small Gardens category (July 2003).
- She was awarded a Bronze at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show in April 2004 in the
student design competition.
- Suzie Nichols Design Limited was launched in August 2004.
- Suzie went back to Bishop Burton Colledge to study part time for a degree in Garden Design and completed her foundation degree in 2007.
- She was awarded a Silver Gilt medal at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show in April 2007 in the
student design competition.
Suzie is currently concentrating on building the business but plans to return to studying part-time at some point to complete the honours degree in Garden Design.
